Yes, it’s that
time of the year again. The time when the Selene family gets
together to share their adventures and renew friendships. The
Seventh Annual Selene Rendezvous will be once again at
historic Roche Harbor. We anticipate at least 45 Selene’s
will attend this very popular event.

As in previous
years, registration will be on Thursday the 24th. Friday and
Saturday will have classes from 8:30 – 1:00 with the popular
trawler crawl in the afternoon followed by the docktail party
hosted by the fabulous Ron and Meagan Randall of Seacoast Marine
Finance on Friday and the awards dinner on Saturday.
We have some
incredible speakers planned this year for the classes. Updates
will be posted soon. We look forward to seeing all the Selene
enthusiasts at the Rendezvous.
Shutterbugs, be
sure to check out the details for our photo
contest. The winner of the photo contest will be
announced at the dinner.
Registration will be
$25 per person. An RSVP would be most appreciated by April
15th.

MOORAGE RESERVATIONS
If you are coming to the Rendezvous by boat,
make a reservation
directly with
Roche Harbor Marina. We have about 45 slips reserved.
Let them know that you are either on a Selene with the Selene
Rendezvous or that you are on a different boat, but with the
Selene Rendezvous group. We will post the slip assignments
before the rendezvous.

BOAT HANDLING COURSE

Selene Seattle
and Power Cruising Magazine are proud to sponsor the
Selene Rendezvous Women’s Boat Handling Class. Nationally
renowned instructor, Capt. Patti Moore and her crew will give a
one day, hands on, boat handling course for women. The class
will be aboard the Selene 48 Furthur and the Selene 53,
Duesie. Duesie is generously provided by David
and Karen Pabst.
The class is
limited to sixteen, eight per boat, and will last all day so
each student will get individual attention and experience. As
we expect more applicants than space available a lottery was
held on April 1st.
Drawing from
nearly 30 entries we now have the 16 winners! These lucky ladies
will spend a full day aboard a Selene 53 or 48 with the capable
instruction of Capt Patty and crew from Florida's SeaSense.

will be available to do so. They will be in Roche Harbor during

SELENE PHOTO CONTEST

It doesn’t matter when the
photos were taken. They need to have a whole Selene in them and
be taken by the person entering the contest. You can use a
photo that you’ve taken of other Selenes, it doesn’t have to be
your own. Limit to one photo per person.
Photos should be
submitted to the registration desk at the time of registration,
no later than Friday morning.
The photos don’t have to be
mounted or framed, but do have to be on 8X10 photo paper, as
well as digitally formatted on a disc. We will separate them
out according to the category for viewing in the sponsor tent
all of Friday and until noon on Saturday. At that time, we will
count the ballots and announce the winners that evening.
