Selene Seattle is the Selene Ocean Trawler dealer in the Northwest. Selene Seattle is dedicated to customer service with a full time Service Manager, design consultants, technical support, and full shipyard support. The sales staff is qualified and ready to meet the needs of our customers. All of our sales people are Certified Professional Yacht Brokers. Selene Seattle has a strong brokerage department with emphasis on trawlers and cruising yachts. The Lake Union location serves both new and pre owned yachts.

Howard Chen, President

Howard is the force behind the Selene success story. As the founder of Jet Tern Marine, Howard has led the Selene team since the beginning. In a continuing effort to provide the ultimate experience to the Selene owners, he now has expanded into the sales and service branches of the enterprise. This revolutionary comprehensive approach will be of great benefit to the Selene Seattle customer.

Howard is pleased to be a part of the Selene Seattle team. He plans frequent visits to the Selene Seattle offices and welcomes Selene Seattle customers to both Jet Tern Marine shipyards in China.

Bradley Pilz, General Manager

Bradley Pilz is honored with the new appointment as the General Manager of Selene Seattle. He looks forward to working in his new position and bringing his experience in the marine sales and service business for over twenty years. He began his yacht service career in 1984 and worked his way through college maintaining yachts. After graduating from Western Washington University Brad sold yachts as a broker and serviced yachts in Seattle. After a short break, he and a business partner started a small service company that was to become Sterling Yacht center.

From the very beginning Brad has brought a "Can Do" attitude and a "Hands on" ethic to all the projects that he is involved with. With his extensive experience, knowledge and training, Brad is indeed a very qualified person to take care of all of your needs with your new Selene Trawler. Brad will be working with both the Sales and Service teams to insure prompt and quality customer service.

Tony Witek, Sales Director
We are very excited to announce the newest member of the Selene Seattle Team! Tony Witek comes aboard as both a seasoned boater and professional yacht broker. Specifically he has worked on Lake Union in Seattle selling boats of all kinds since 1989. He knows from personal experience the best boat yards and surveyors around the area. Tony has helped to launch and establish a yacht brokerage prior to coming to us. He also was involved with selling Grand Banks for over seven years and is very familiar with trawlers of all makes. He has experience with new boat builds and works very closely with his customers to help achieve their dream. He prides himself with his thorough customer service which has caused many of his clients to return to to him for repeated business.

When not involved with business he has a very active family life with his wife and two young boys. Tony will assume the role of Sales Manager and looks forward to providing some new ideas for Selene Seattle. Please call him with your comments or concerns anytime.

David Kane, CPYB
David has been in the yachting industry for the last 25 years in maintenance, commissioning and sailing instruction. Marine education has included the USCG 200 Ton Master courses, International Flagging, Taxation and Charter Operations for MCA vessels, fiberglass, steel, and aluminum yacht construction and project management. David participated in design input and project management on builds over 100 feet and ran large yachts as relief captain for a number of years following his return to sales. That said, he has also worked in selling Grand Banks, Jefferson, Hampton and Symbol Yachts. Lucky enough to be selected for a special program, David worked in Italy at the Benetti Yachts shipyard in Viareggio and Lovorno for production management, quality control and interior and exterior design from their naval architects, engineers and designers in four different shipyards.

These experiences with over 31 shipyards from Feadship motoryachts in Holland to Grand Banks in Singapore have given him a wide base of knowledge about construction techniques, systems, production practices, problem solving, design and implementation and quality control.

Having run yachts up and down the West Coast from Alaska to Mexico as well as cruising the Eastern Seaboard, including the Bahamas, David has a knowledge base of conditions, destinations, mileage and long passages that can help you with finding the right Selene or other brokerage yachts for you and your cruising needs. Maurice Spence
Selene Seattle would like to introduce the newest addition to our Sales Team, Maurice Spence. Maurice has represented the Marlow Line of Yachts, Tiara and now Selene. He has is seasoned boater and has been around boats all of his life. His first boat was sailing a 14' Sunfish! He currently has a wonderful 40' Tollycraft that has cruised all around the Pacific Northwest. He is involved with his local boating community and is a member of the Poulsbo Yacht Club. Maurice brings a very thorough knowledge of boats and yacht brokerage experience.

Janet Reid
Design Associate & Office Manager
Janet grew up boating with her family in the San Juan Islands, Canada and Alaska so it is no surprise that she has ended up in the yachting industry. After graduating from the University of Washington studying Art History and Architecture, she went on to start her career in the yacht world. She gained experience with an interior design firm specializing in yacht design. Janet is involved with advertising, event planning, the Selene Seattle website and everything in between. She is currently continuing her education in Interior Design and plans on developing and expanding her expertise throughout the company.

Capt. Brian Calvert
Brian learned to row a boat before he learned to ride a bike. Born and raised on Puget Sound, his boating experience has taken him from Mexico to Alaska. Brian has been a livaboard for over 23 years, the last two on his 48' Selene 'Furthur.' Moving to the San Juans in the mid 80's he started his yacht broker career. He was the San Juans Sales Manager for Western Yachts representing Tollycraft, Ocean Alexander, Grand Banks and other top lines. Next became an owner of Friday Harbor Yachts and developed the Selene Trawler line. FHYS was the world's largest Selene Dealer for the last eight years.

His experience cruising from Mexico to Alaska, including two circumnavigations of Vancouver Island, Brian uses his knowledge gained by thousands of miles of cruising, professional deliveries and continued study to help in the Selene Training Program. Brian has served as instructor and Past Commander of the Friday Harbor Power Squadron, board member and Fleet Capt. of the San Juan Yacht Club. He was elected two terms as Commissioner for the Port of Friday Harbor, where he had a renowned career as defender of our marine waters.

Capt. Bob Ridenour Bob has joined the Selene Seattle team as our resident Captain. He will be doing the owners training and deliveries.
